In its traditional form, the "scetavajasse" consists of two sticks of wood 20: A smooth, generally rounded, challenging you with your left hand at one end, resting the other on the shoulder or chest, and the other serrated ( type waves more or less marked or sawtooth) of about 2 / 3 of length, usually a square shape, it is challenging with the right hand (as if it were un'archetto violin) and rub vigorously on the first. The stick has notched plates of tin attached above. Used alone (in music-inspired seafood), were obtained with the shaking of the plates, suggestive atmosphere evoking waves of the sea. Both poles are decorated with brightly colored ribbons and, sometimes, with inlay work and small sculptures. In the past there was another type of scetavajasse, consisting of bamboo: the wavy, or notched, slipped inside the other. Clearly, the intrinsic fragility of the 'tool' has led to its disappearance.
